What does “majadero” mean in Spanish?

Majadero brands someone as not just foolish but pig-headed and wearisome with it — a step up from plain tonto. The related noun majaderías means the nonsense or tiresome chatter such a person produces; “temas majaderos” are crude, vexing topics. It’s a notch literary, common in pointed commentary and polemic where the speaker wants both bite and a touch of formality.
