Indovina il personaggio tra panettone, agnello e lasagne

When do Italians eat lamb (agnello)?
Italian holiday menus are so fixed that the dish names the season. Panettone means Christmas; agnello (lamb) means Easter (Pasqua). So when someone in this guessing game blurts “l’agnello a Natale,” the others instantly correct him — “È vero, la Pasqua” — because lamb at Christmas is the wrong calendar entirely. For learners it is a tidy culture cue: the food on the table tells you which feast you are at.
The bit plays a “you are what you eat” character game where festive foods stand in for personalities. Christmas pivots on panettone (and pandoro); Easter brings agnello, often alongside the dove-shaped cake colomba. Lasagne, meanwhile, read as the all-purpose Sunday-family dish. Naming the wrong holiday food is the joke — and a quick way to spot a non-native.
