What does “배려” mean in Korean?
배려 (baeryeo) is the everyday Korean word for thoughtful consideration — noticing what someone around you needs and accommodating it before they ask. It’s less a single act of kindness than a social reflex: giving a tired person room to rest, softening a request, holding a door of attention open.
