What does “savta bishla daysa” mean in Hebrew?
סבתא בישלה דייסה — “Grandma cooked porridge” — is Israel’s classic palm-and-fingers baby game, its cousin of “this little piggy.” The adult traces a stirring circle on the child’s palm, then folds down one finger per line as Grandma doles out porridge — to Mom, to Dad, to the neighbor — until the last, littlest one gets none.
